SE DESCRIBE UN METODO PARA EL CONTROL DE LA GRANULOSIDAD DE POLIMERISATEN SOBRE LA BASE DE ESTIROL Y, DADO EL CASO, DE MONOMEROS COPOLIMERIZADOS MEDIANTE LA COPOLIMERIZACION DE SUSPENSION. PARA ELLO SE POLIMERIZA EN PRIMER LUGAR AL MENOS EL 70% DE LOS MONOMEROS REFERIDOS A LA CANTIDAD TOTAL DE MONOMEROS EN UNA SUSPENSION ACUOSA EN PRESENCIA DE MEDIOS DISPERSIVOS, INICIADORES Y OTRAS MATERIAS SUPLEMENTARIAS, HASTA ALCANZAR UN MOVIMIENTO DE AL MENOS EL 70% DEL PESO POLIMERIZADO. POSTERIORMENTE SE DOSIFICA LA CANTIDAD DE MONOMEROS RESTANTES EN EL PERIODO DE TIEMPO DE 1 A 3 HORAS. LOS POLIMERISATEN ASI FABRICADOS MUESTRAN EL GRANULADO ASPERO DESEADO, CON UN CONTENIDO MINIMO DE AGUA INTERIOR. SE EMPLEAN PREFERIBLEMENTE COMO MATERIAL AMORTIGUADOR.
