MATERIAL PARA CATODOS EMPLEADOS EN PILAS DE COMBUSTIBLE DE CARBONATOS FUNDIDOS Y PROCEDIMIENTO PARA SU FABRICACION. LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A CATODOS POROSOS DE NIQUEL, UTILIZABLES EN LAS PILAS DE COMBUSTIBLE DE CARBONATOS FUNDIDOS QUE MEJORAN SU RESISTENCIA A LA CORROSION MEDIANTE ELDOPAJE DEL SUBSTRATO DE NIQUEL CON OXIDOS DE METALES DEL GRUPO DE LOS LANTANIDOS, EN UN PORCENTAJE COMPRENDIDO ENTRE EL 0,1 Y EL 10%. EL DOPAJE COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES ETAPAS: (A) INCORPORACION DEL LANTANIDO MEZCLANDO INTIMAMENTE EL POLVO NIQUEL DE UN TAMAÑO COMPRENDIDO ENTRE 1 Y 10 MI, CON UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE UNA SAL DEL LANTANIDO, EN LA QUE SE DISPERSA EL NIQUEL; (B) EVAPORACION, PREFERENTEMENTE A VACIO, HASTA SEQUEDAD; (C) CALENTAMIENTO, EN ATMOSFERA INERTE, DEL PRODUCTO SECO HASTA LA TEMPERATURA DE DESCOMPOSICION DEL HIDRATO DE LA SAL DEL LANTANIDO, HASTA LA ELIMINACION DEL AGUA DE HIDRATACION; (D) CALENTAMIENTO, EN ATMOSFERA INERTE, HASTA LA TEMPERATURA DE DESCOMPOSICION DE LA SAL DEL LANTANIDO; (E) CAMBIO A UNA ATMOSFERA REDUCTORA (PREFERENTEMENTE EQUIMOLECULAR DE H2/N2), MANTENIENDO LA TEMPERATURA, DURANTE EL TIEMPO SUFICIENTE PARA REDUCIR EL OXIDO DE NIQUEL QUE SE PUDIERA HABER FORMADO EN LAS OPERACIONES ANTERIORES; (F) ENFRIAMIENTO DEL PRODUCTO EN ATMOSFERA REDUCTORA. POR SINTERIZACION DEL POLVO SE OBTIENEN LOS CATODOS.
