PROCESO DE DESULFURACION DE UNA MEZCLA GASEOSA QUE CONTIENE H SUB 2 S Y SO SUB 2 EN BAJA CONCENTRACION GLOBAL Y EN UNA RELACION MOLAR H SUB 2 S: SO SUB 2 DE APROXIMADAMENTE 2:1 CON RECUPERACION DE DICHOS COMPUESTOS EN FORMA DE AZUFRE, EN EL QUE SE PONE DICHA MEZCLA GASEOSA EN CONTACTO CON UN CATALIZADOR, QUE ES UN PROMOTOR DE LA REACCION DE CLAUS DE FORMACION DE AZUFRE ENTRE H SUB 2 S Y SO SUB 2 Y COMPRENDE AL MENOS UNA PARTE TERMINAL CONSTITUIDA POR UNA MASA CATALITICA COMPUESTA RESULTANTE DE LA ASOCIACION DE ALUMINA CON AL MENOS UN COMPUESTO DE UN METAL ELEGIDO ENTRE EL TITANIO, EL ITRIO, EL LANTANO Y LOS ELEMENTOS DE LAS TIERRAS RARAS QUE TIENEN UN NUMERO ATOMICO QUE VA DE 58 A 71.
