Abstract
UN PROCESO MEJORADO PARA LA EXTRACCION DE ALUMINA MONOHIDRATADA Y TRIHIDRATADA DE UNA BAUXITA QUE CONTIENE LAS DOS FORMAS DE ALUMINA. LA LECHADA DE BAUXITA SE SOMETE A UNA PRIMERA DIGESTION EN UNA PRIMERA PORCION DE LICOR AGOTADO BAJO CONDICIONES SUFICIENTES COMO PARA EXTRAER EL TRIHIDRATO. EL LICOR QUE CONTIENE EL TRIHIDRATO DISUELTO SE SEPARA DE LA LECHADA BAJO CONDICIONES DE TEMPERATURA Y PRESION SIMILARES A LAS EXISTENTES EN LA DIGESTION DE TRIHIDRATO. A CONTINUACION SE SOMETE LA LECHADA DE SOLIDOS NO DISUELTOS A UNA SEGUNDA DIGESTION EN UNA SEGUNDA PORCION DE LICOR AGOTADO BAJO CONDICIONES SUFICIENTES PARA DISOLVER EL MONOHIDRATO. PARA MANTENER EL CONTENIDO CAUSTICO LIBRE DEL LICOR QUE PASA A LA SEGUNDA DIGESTION DE ALTA TEMPERATURA A UN NIVEL POR DEBAJO DE UN PUNTO EN EL QUE CORROIRIA SEVERAMENTE LOS CALENTADORES DE ALTA TEMPERATURA, SE AÑADE OPCIONALMENTE UNA PORCION DE LICOR ADECUADO O LECHADA DE BAJA CONCENTRACION CAUSTICA LIBRE A ESTE LICOR PARA REDUCIR SU CONCENTRACION CAUSTICA LIBRE JUNTO ANTES DE QUE PASE A TRAVES DE LOS CALENTADORES DE ALTA TEMPERATURA. CON LA INVENCION ES POSIBLE MODIFICAR DE FORMA FACIL Y SENCILLA UN PROCESO DE DOBLE DIGESTION A UN CIRCUITO DE UNA SOLA DIGESTION EXISTENTE.
