EL APARATO CON LA CONDICION DE QUE AL MENOS DOS DE LAS POLEAS (3, 4, 5) DEBEN ESTAR ELECTRICAMENTE AISLADAS CON RESPECTO LA UNA A LA OTRA Y CONECTADAS A UN CIRCUITO ELECTRICO (20), DISEÑADO PARA APLICAR UN VOLTAJE ELECTRICO A LAS MENCIONADAS POLEAS, PARA LLEVAR A CABO LA MEDICION DE LA RESISTENCIA ELECTRICA DEL TEJIDO MOSTRADO POR LAS EXTENSIONES DE LA CINTA (A, B), INCLUIDAS ENTRE LAS MISMAS POLEAS. LA RESISTENCIA ELECTRICA ASI OBTENIDA PERMITE SER COMPARADA CON VALORES DE RESISTENCIA PREDETERMINADOS, CORRESPONDIENTES A LOS DIFERENTES ESTADOS DE USO DEL TEJIDO DE LA CINTA (2).
