EL METODO INCLUYE LA INTRODUCCION EN LA MUESTRA DE UN PRIMER CONJUGADO DE UNA FASE SOLIDA DE LATEX O DE UN MATERIAL SIMILAR UNIDO A UN FACTOR INTRINSECO PURIFICADO POR AFINIDAD CON UN PRIMER GRUPO DE UNION DE AL MENOS TRES ANGSTROMS DE LONGITUD. EL PRIMER CONJUGADO Y LAS COBALAMINAS UNIDAS EN LA MUESTRA SE EXPONEN LUEGO A UN SEGUNDO CONJUGADO DE UNA COBALAMINA UNIDA A UNA ENZIMA DETECTABLE PARA PRODUCIR UN SEGUNDO CONJUGADO UNIDO AL PRIMERO Y UN SEGUNDO CONJUGADO NO UNIDO.
