EL BISFENOL A DE ALTA CALIDAD SE PRODUCE A PARTIR DE UN ADUCTO CRISTALINO NEUTRO DE BISFENOL A Y FENOL FUNDIENDO EL ADUCTO EN UN AMBIENTE QUE TIENE UN CONTENIDO MAXIMO DE OXIGENO DEL 0,005% EN VOLUMEN, SEGUIDO POR LA EVAPORACION DEL FENOL LIBERADO. SE PUEDE MEZCLAR EL ADUCTO CRISTALINO CON UN ACIDO CARBOXILICO ALIFATICO ANTES DE LA FUSION PARA REDUCIR LA COLORACION DEL PRODUCTO. CUANDO SE UTILIZA UN ADUCTO CRISTALINO ACIDICO, SE UTILIZA ADECUADAMENTE EL EMPLEO DE UNA SAL DE ALCALI FUERTE DE UN ACIDO CARBOXILICO ALIFATICO. LAS SUPERFICIES INTERIORES PARA LLEVAR A CABO LA FUSION Y EVAPORACION SE LAVAN, DESEABLEMENTE, CON UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO PARA EXTRAER EL OXIGENO DE LAS MISMAS.
