LA SUPRESION ESPECIFICA ISOTIPICA PUEDE LLEVARSE A CABO ADMINISTRANDO PEPTIDOS QUE TIENEN UNA SECUENCIA DE AMINOACIDOS QUE CORRESPONDE AL SEGMENTO EXTRACELULAR DE SECTOR ENLACADO DE LA MEMBRANA ( EL SEGMENTO "MIGIS") DE UNA INMUNOGLOBULINA DE LA CLASE ISOTIPICA O SUBCLASE O UN EPITOPE DE ESTA.
