Abstract

Un método para preparar una forma cristalina terapéuticamente activa de sulfato de glucosamina que es estable a temperatura y humedad ambientes, y corresponde a la fórmula empírica (I), en la cual M representa un metal seleccionado entre el grupo que consiste en Na, K, Ca o Mg, x = 1 si y = 2, y x = 2 si y = 1, en la que se hacen reaccionar hidrocloruro de glucosamina y un sulfato de metal seleccionado entre Na, K, Ca y Mg en la relación estequiométrica definida por la fórmula (I), en un disolvente acuoso, y la forma cristalina estable es precipitada mediante la adición de un agente precipitante líquido miscible con agua.
