Abstract

Mecanismo de freno de seguridad para vehículos automóviles. Este mecanismo comprende un dispositivo de fijación (5) compuesto por un cuerpo de fijación (36) que engrana con un dentado (34) del soporte (1) y un resorte helicoidal (37) de fijación; un dispositivo autorregulador (3) compuesto por un cuerpo de tracción (11) al que está fijado el extremo del cable de acero (28) que enlaza con las pinzas o zapatas de freno vinculadas al mecanismo, un resorte espiral de tracción (12) y un resorte helicoidal de bloqueo (13) coaxiales entre sí, adaptados de modo que, encontrándose la palanca de freno (2) en la posición de reposo, el resorte espiral (12) somete a tracción al cable (28) ajustando de forma permanente la longitud de su porción enfundada; y, un dispositivo autoajustador (4) de la longitud inicial del cable (28) que comprende un pasador (32) extraible.
