ACTUALMENTE SE HA AISLADO EL DNA QUE CODIFICA UNA FAMILIA DEL TIPO QUE SE UNE AL KAINATO DEL RECEPTOR EAA Y SE HA CARACTERIZADO LA PROTEINA RECEPTORA. AQUI SE DESCRIBEN LINEAS CELULARES RECOMBINANTES QUE PRODUCEN EL RECEPTOR EAA COMO PRODUCTO HETEROLOGO QUE SE UNE A LA MEMBRANA. TAMBIEN SE DESCRIBEN ASPECTOS RELACIONADOS DE LA INVENCION, QUE SON DE SIGNIFICACION COMERCIAL. SE INCLUYE EL USO DE LAS LINEAS CELULARES COMO HERRAMIENTA PARA DESCUBRIR COMPUESTOS QUE MODULEN LA ESTIMULACION DEL RECEPTOR EAA.
