Abstract

The machine has a main shaft 1 on which is mounted a mechanism for pitting olives, which is conventional per se, with the particular feature that the nozzle or cutting blade 8 for the olive is a single one and fixed in an angular direction, displaceable in an axial direction by a rotary cam 11, two pitting punches 3-3' collaborating with said single blade 8 and being arranged in diametral opposition and entrained angularly by the main shaft 1, in such a manner that one 3 of them collaborates in the pitting stage, with the collaboration of a pair of eccentrics 4-5, the other collaborating in the stuffing stage with the collaboration of another two rotary eccentrics 4'-5'. The latter punch has collaborating with it, in turn, a plate 17 provided on its periphery with beds 19 for the gerkins 15 so that, in a first bed, it receives the gerkins from a first conveyor chain 15, in a second bed it positions them so that the narrowest end faces the olive, and in a third bed it brings the gherkin 16 opposite the pitted olive 7 so that an injector 21 can push it inside the olive.
