EL TUBO DE DESCARGA SE CONECTA CON UNA CAMARA DE VACIO PARA ENFRIAMIENTO DE LA ESCORIA (12), EN EL INTERIOR DE LA CUAL, LA CORRIENTE DE ESCORIA QUE SALE DEL TUBO DE SUCCION, SE GRANULA MEDIANTE CHORROS DE AGUA INCIDENTES (16). EL AGUA Y LOS GRANULOS DE ESCORIA ARRASTRADOS POR ELLA, DESCIENDEN POR GRAVEDAD A TRAVES DE UNA RAMA DE VACIO (18) COMUNICANTE DE UNA COLUMNA DE AGUA, TERMINADA EN UN DEPOSITO DE MATERIAL EN CONTACTO CON LA ATMOSFERA (22), DENTRO DEL CUAL LOS GRANULOS SON RECOGIDOS POR UN TRANSPORTADOR (25), QUE LOS DESHIDRATA, AL MISMO TIEMPO QUE TRANSPORTA LA ESCORIA FUERA DEL DEPOSITO (22), HASTA UNA PILA EXTERNA (28) O CONTENEDOR. LA INVENCION CONSIGUE UNA DESCARGA LENTA DE ESCORIA A VELOCIDADES CONTROLADAS A LO LARGO DE PERIODOS DE TIEMPO PROLONGADOS, AL MISMO TIEMPO QUE REALIZA UNA RETIRADA DE METAL CONTINUA Y SIMULTANEA MEDIANTE UN DISPOSITIVO ANALOGO A UN TUBO SIFONICO (38) HACIA UNA CAMARA DE VACIO DE RETIRADA (37) PARA FUNDICION.
