Abstract

"Procedimiento de obtención de un producto pulverulento a partir de la fracción de rechazo de una planta potabilizadora de agua, producto obtenido con tal procedimiento y utilización de tal producto". El procedimiento comprende las siguientes etapas: captar y decantar; filtrar, tamizar y/o centrifugar las colas de rechazo de una planta potabilizadora; flocular dichas colas con sales de aluminio y sedimentar los flóculos formados, obteniendo una fracción de agua turbia y una primera fracción de rechazo; bombear la primera fracción de rechazo; deshidratar esta última, preferiblemente en una bomba centrífuga, obteniendo una segunda fracción de rechazo; agitar la segunda fracción de rechazo en un depósito preparador, con adición de defloculante, para la formación de una barbotina en suspensión; y secar con aire o gas inerte caliente la barbotina, hasta obtener un producto pulverulento de entre 50 y 400 micras de tamaño de partícula, por pulverización o atomización en un atomizador a una temperatura comprendida entre 100 y 500°C. El producto así obtenido es utilizable como componente para la fabricación de productos cerámicos estructurales o de revestimiento y/o como colorante.
