SE PROPORCIONA UN METODO PARA LA RESTAURACION DE LA ACTIVIDAD CATALITICA EN CATALIZADORES DE CARBONO TRATADOS CON NITROGENO DESACTIVADOS. LOS CATALIZADORES DE CARBONO TRATADOS CON NITROGENO SON AQUELLAS HULLAS RESIDUALES CARBONADAS QUE HAN SIDO SOMETIDAS A COMPUESTOS CON CONTENIDO EN NITROGENO A TEMPERATURAS POR ENCIMA DE APROXIMADAMENTE 700 (GRADOS) C. ESTOS COMPUESTOS CON CONTENIDO EN NITROGENO PUEDEN ESTAR PRESENTES O BIEN COMO PARTE DEL MATERIAL DE HULLA RESIDUAL EN BRUTO O COMO ADITIVO A LA HULLA RESIDUAL DURANTE CUALQUIER MOMENTO DE SU FABRICACION. EL METODO PROPORCIONA MEDIOS PARA RESTAURAR LA ACTIVIDAD CATALITICA AMPLIAMENTE INDEPENDIENTES DEL MECANISMO MEDIANTE EL CUAL SE PRODUCE LA DESACTIVACION DE LOS PUNTOS DE CATALIZACION. EN LA PRESENTE INVENCION, LA HULLA RESIDUAL CARBONADA TRATADA CON NITROGENO DESACTIVADA SE CALIENTA A TEMPERATURAS SUPERIORES A 700 (GRADOS) C Y A CONTINUACION SE ENFRIA EN UNA ATMOSFERA INERTE. MIENTRAS QUE A TEMPERATURAS POR ENCIMA DE 700 (GRADOS) C, LA HULLA RESIDUAL PUEDE SER EXPUESTA A AGENTES DE GASIFICACION COMO EL VAPOR, EL DIOXIDO DE CARBONO O EL OXIGENO.
