Abstract

Dispositivo y procedimiento de evaluación de la resistencia al impacto de materiales frágiles. Comprende medios (7) de retención del material (8) a evaluar y un péndulo (1) para impactar con energía conocida sobre la superficie del material (8); se caracteriza porque se realizan sucesivos impactos sobre un mismo punto del material de modo que el péndulo incluye un sensor que al impactar sobre la superficie genera una onda que es detectada por un osciloscopio (10) que a almacena y envía a un procesador que analiza las ondas obtenidas y obtiene un parámetro cuyo valor se mantiene constante en los sucesivos impactos hasta que se produce al menos una microfisura en el material, en cuyo caso el parámetro decrece proporcionalmente al nivel de daños producido. A partir de dicho decrecimiento se calcula el valor de la resistencia al impacto.
