Abstract

La invención suministra un procedimiento mejorado para la preparación de un compuesto que contiene un anillo de benceno 2,4,6-triiodado, el proceso comprende la reacción de un ácido 5-amino-benzoico 2,4,6-insustituido o un derivado del mismo con un agente yodante de haluro de yodo en un medio de reacción acuoso, que se caracteriza en que el agente yodante se añade al medio acuoso que contiene el ácido 5-amino-benzoico o un derivado del mismo en dos bandas de temperaturas diferentes: (A) una o más partes primarias del agente se añaden a una temperatura en la banda de entre 40 y 70º C y luego una o más partes secundarias del agente se añaden a una temperatura en la banda de entre 75 y 95º C o (B) una o más partes primarias del agente se añaden a una temperatura en la banda de entre 75 y 95º C y luego una o más partes secundarias del agente se añaden a una temperatura de entre 60 y 70º C.
