Abstract

Tratamiento de aguas residuales que contienen amonio para recuperar el fosfato de magnesio y amonio que se utiliza como fertilizante o para producción de amoniaco. El tratamiento de aguas residuales que contienen amonio comprende concentrar el agua residual para obtener un concentrado enriquecido en amonio y otras sustancias solubles mientras se recupera el agua purificada sin amonio, se precipita el fosfato de magnesio y amonio del concentrado y se separa el precipitado del concentrado sin amonio. El tratamiento de aguas residuales que contienen amonio y otras sustancias solubles y opcionalmente sólidos comprende las siguientes etapas: (a) se separa opcionalmente los sólidos; (b) se concentra el agua residual para obtener un concentrado enriquecido en amonio y otras sustancias solubles mientras se recupera agua purificada sin amonio; (c) se precipita el fosfato de magnesio y amonio del concentrado y (d) se separa el precipitado del concentrado sin amonio.
