Abstract

Volante de dirección para automóviles, con un buje (10), una corona de volante de dirección (12) y varios radios (14) que unen la corona del volante de dirección (12) con el buje (10), donde: el buje (10) muestra el núcleo del buje (22) para fijación a un árbol de dirección así como un cuerpo base (26) de plástico reforzado con fibra, que rodea al núcleo del buje (22); los radios (14) están conformados de plástico reforzado con fibra de una sola pieza y continuos con el cuerpo base (26) del buje (10); la corona del volante de dirección (12) está conformada de plástico reforzado con fibra de una sola pieza y continua con los radios (14); el cuerpo base (26) con los radios (14) y la corona del volante de dirección (12) forman un cuerpo de forma autoportante; caracterizado porque el cuerpo base (26) del buje (10) forma, en la zona de transición con los radios (14), un escalón (16) para apoyo de un módulo de airbag; porque está previsto un refuerzo de la armadura (28) o una estructura de sujeción (30) unida al núcleo del buje (22), que se extiende hasta la zona del escalón (16); y porque en los extremos exteriores del refuerzo de la armadura (28) o de la estructura de sujeción (30) están previstos unos elementos de fijación (32) para la fijación del módulo de airbag.
