Un péptido representado por la fórmula D-Arg-2'6'-Dmt-Lys-Phe-NH2 o Phe-D-Arg- Phe-Lys-NH2 para utilizar en el tratamiento o prevención de una condición oftalmológica en donde la condición oftalmológica se selecciona del grupo que consiste de: retinitis pigmentosa, neovascularización coroidea, y retinopatía inducida por el oxígeno.
