Abstract

Esta invención presenta una pastilla de freno de tipo flotante para uso en condiciones climáticas de lluvia o nieve, perteneciente al campo de la tecnología de frenos ferroviarios. La invención comprende: una placa soporte (1), que consiste en una estructura en forma de sector de corona circular con ambos extremos redondeados mediante transiciones de arco de circunferencia; una pluralidad de bloques de fricción (2), los cuales se conectan a la placa soporte (1) a través de una unión flotante; los bloques de fricción (2) se disponen en varias hileras paralelas al borde interior de la placa soporte (1) hasta llegar a su borde exterior; entre bloques de fricción de hileras adyacentes se coloca un mecanismo anti-rotación; la superficie de fricción de los bloques (2) consiste en una superficie plana. La presente pastilla de freno resuelve el problema técnico consistente en que las pastillas de freno existentes acumulan fácilmente polvillo producido por la fricción, el cual, durante el uso en condiciones de lluvia o nieve, se congela junto con la lluvia o nieve, formando grandes bloques de hielo y afectando el funcionamiento normal de la pastilla de freno.
