Abstract

Suspensión acuosa de carbonato de calcio tratado mediante reacción en superficie que puede obtenerse mediante un procedimiento para preparar un carbonato de calcio tratado mediante reacción en superficie en un entorno acuoso, comprendiendo el procedimiento las siguientes etapas: a) proporcionar al menos un carbonato de calcio natural triturado (GNCC); b) proporcionar al menos un ácido soluble en agua; c) proporcionar CO2 gaseoso; d) poner en contacto dicho GNCC de la etapa a) con dicho ácido de la etapa b) y con dicho CO2 de la etapa c); caracterizada porque: (i) dicho(s) ácido(s) de la etapa b) tiene(n) cada uno un pKa de más de 2,5 y menos de o igual a 7, cuando se mide a 20ºC, asociado con la ionización de su primer hidrógeno disponible, y un anión correspondiente formado con la pérdida de este primer hidrógeno disponible que puede formar sales de calcio solubles en agua y en la que dicho(s) ácido(s) soluble(s) en agua se selecciona(n) del grupo que consiste en ácido acético, ácido fórmico, ácido propanoico y mezclas de los mismos; (ii) tras poner en contacto dicho(s) ácido(s) con dicho GNCC, se proporciona adicionalmente al menos una sal soluble en agua, que en el caso de una sal que contiene hidrógeno tiene un pKa de más de 7, cuando se mide a 20ºC, asociado con la ionización del primer hidrógeno disponible, y cuyo anión de sal puede formar sales de calcio insolubles en agua; (iii) dicho(s) ácido(s) soluble(s) en agua se dosifica(n) en una cantidad total correspondiente a desde 3 x 10-4 hasta 10 x 10-4 mol de átomos de hidrógeno en el ácido/m2 de GNCC proporcionado en la etapa a).
