Abstract

Un método para determinar el valor de elasticidad en estado fundido normalizada de un polímero termoplástico, que comprende las operaciones de: (a) calentar el polímero termoplástico para fundirlo; (b) someter el polímero termoplástico a una presión constante seleccionada de manera que el polímero termoplástico fundido fluya por un canal (20) para formar un filamento de polímero termoplástico fundido que salga del canal (20) con una velocidad V0, seleccionándose la presión constante de manera que V0 sea mayor que 1,27 milímetros por segundo, teniendo el canal (20) un diámetro de aproximadamente 2,1 milímetros y una longitud de aproximadamente 8 milímetros; y (c) estirar el filamento de polímero termoplástico fundido por aplicación de una fuerza al filamento de polímero termoplástico fundido para formar un filamento estirado de polímero termoplástico que se desplace con una velocidad de aproximadamente 33V0, siendo el valor de elasticidad en estado fundido normalizada del polímero termoplástico igual a la fuerza.
