Abstract

A perforated cutter foil for dry shavers comprises a plurality of diamond-shaped hair entry openings the adjacent sides of which make angles with one another of 60 degrees and 120 degrees respectively and the totality of the openings constituting a network which predominantly or exclusively contains groups of diamond-shaped openings, the directions of the principal diagonals of the openings making angles of 60 degrees between each other. Some corners of the openings, preferably the acute ones, may be rounded. In three arrangements, groups of diamond-shaped openings form sixpointed stars and either between each two adjacent groups there is a diamond-shaped opening or between three adjacent groups there is a hexagonal opening in which latter case the openings may each be divided by three bars angularly displaced from one another by 120 degrees into diamond-shaped openings. In a further arrangement, the individual groups are hexagonal and inside the boundary of each hexagon there are twelve diamond-shaped openings each four of which have the same direction of principal diagonal, the three directions of principal diagonal being angularly displaced from one another by 120 degrees.
