Nuevos compuestos del tipo de prostaglandinas racémicas (dl)-13-sulfinil sustituidas { (dl)-2 alfa-sustituido-3 beta- [ (1 alfa-sulfinil sustituido)-trans-2-alquenil] -1-oxigenado-ciclopentano y (dl)-2 alfa-sustituido-3 beta- [(1 alfa-sulfinil sustituido)-trans-2-alquenil]-4-oxigenado-1-oxigenado-ciclopentano} de nuestra invención están aquellos representados por las fórmulas: **(Fórmula)** donde Ac es acetilo; R1 es hidrógeno u OR6, en donde R6 es hidrógeno, 2-tetrahidropiranilo o dimetil-t-butilsililo; R2 es hidrógeno u oxidrilo.
