Abstract
Mejoras introducidas en un método de colar metal fundido en una máquina de colada en que al menos una correa de colada sin fin gira alrededor de rodillos y pasa a lo largo de una región de colada desde su extremo de entrada a su extremo de salida y un par de diques de borde giratorios sin fin distanciados lateralmente se desplazan a lo largo de cualquiera de los bordes de la región de colada sustancialmente a la misma velocidad que la correa de colada, cuyas mejoras se caracterizan por disponer en dichos diques de borde unas bolsas de molde de profundidad parcial que comunican con la región de colada y que tienen una profundidad menor que la profundidad de la región de colada, permitiendo que circule metal fundido dentro de dichas bolsas de molde de profundidad parcial, y enfriar el metal fundido en dichas bolsas de molde de profundidad parcial para formar una petaca colada que tiene patillas enterizas de espesor parcial que se extienden desde bordes opuestos de la petaca colada.
