Abstract

Proceso para producir aldehídos aromáticos partiendo del correspondiente ácido aromático, que comprende los pasos siguientes: a) Hacer reaccionar a dicho ácido aromático a 0-15ºC y a presión atmosférica de acuerdo con el método de los anhídridos mezclados con clorocarbonato etílico o isobutílico, en presencia de una base anhidra y un disolvente anhidro, inerte con respecto a los reactivos, obteniendo el correspondiente anhídrido; y b) hidrogenar directamente en aldehído el anhídrido del paso (a) durante 6- 8 horas a presión atmosférica y a temperatura ambiente, en presencia de un catalizador de hidrogenación que comprende paladio sobre sulfato de bario al 10%.
