Abstract

Procedimiento para la evacuación de residuos de tratamiento de bauxita, caracterizado por las operaciones que consisten en: a) filtrar los lodos de bauxita en suspensión procedentes del decantador de lavado, b)lavar continuamente el lodo aglomerado de filtración deshidratado sobre el filtro con agua caliente, reciclando la fase líquida que contiene la mayor parte de la sosa en el proceso básico de la instalación de tratamiento de bauxita, c) tratar el lodo aglomerado separado del filtro con agua de mar para refluidificar los lodos y neutralizar los residuos de sosa todavía presentes; y d) transportar la suspensión de lodo inerte y neutralizada, mezclada con arena residual procedente del tratamiento de la bauxita, hasta deposito terraplenados.
