Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparación de derivados de 1,5-dimetilbiciclo[3,2.1]octano de la fórmula general **fórmula** en dónde R representa hidrógeno o un grupo alifático hidrocarbonado aromático, opcionalmente sustituido con un grupo amino, caracterizado porque el 1,5- dimetilbiciclo[3.2.1]octanol-8 se hace reaccionar con un ácido carboxílico RCOOH, en dónde R tiene el significado anterior o un cloruro de ácido o un anhídrido de ácido de este ácido o se transesterifica con un éster del ácido RCOOH con un alcohol primario que tiene de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono y el éster de 1,5-dimetilbiciclo[3.2.1]octanol-8 formado se somete opcionalmente a una reacción de transesterificación con un éster de un ácido RCOOH que tiene un número de átomos de carbono en el grupo R mayor que los que están presentes en el grupo R de dicho éster de 1,5-dimetilbiciclo[3.2.1]octanol.8
