PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE DERIVADOS DE BIS-AMINOMETILANTRAQUINONA Y DE SUS SALES CON ACIDOS FISIOLOGICAMENTE COMPATIBLES, DE FORMULA (I), EN LA QUE R Y R PUEDEN SER VARIOS TIPOS DE RADICALES; Y R PUEDE SER HIDROGENO O HIDROXILO. CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE REDUCCION DE UNA ANTRAQUINONA DE FORMULA (II); SEGUIDA DE TRATAMIENTO DE LA ANTRAHIDROQUINONA FORMADA CON FORMALDEHIDO Y UNA AMINA DE FORMULA R NHR , EN LA QUE R Y R TIENEN EL MISMO SIGNIFICADO QUE EN LA FORMULA (I); Y, FINALMENTE, OXIDACION DEL DERIVADO DE BIS-AMINOMETILANTRAHIDROQUINONA OBTENIDO CON OXIGENO, PEROXIDO DE HIDROGENO O PEROXIACIDOS. LA REDUCCION SE LLEVA A CABO CON DITIONITRO SODICO, MEDIANTE HIDROGENACION CATALITICA O CON HIDRUROS METALICOS. ESTOS COMPUESTOS TIENEN APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE AMEBIASIS, ENFERMEDADES CANCEROSAS Y VIRICAS Y CONTRA LA ENCEFALOMIOCARDITIS.
