PROCEDIMIENTO MEJORADO PARA LA PREPARACION DE ACIDO 6,6-DIYODOPENICILANICO.CONSISTE EN LAS SIGUIENTES FASES: REACCION DE DIAZOTACION DEL ACIDO 6-B-AMINOPENICILANICO, 6-APA, EN UN DISOLVENTE INERTE A LA REACCION, TAL COMO ACETATO DE ETILO, CLORURO DE METILENO, TOLUENO, ETER DIETILICO Y ETER DIISOPROPILICO, A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE LOS 0º C Y LOS 10º C, CON ACIDO SULFURICO Y NITRITO SODICO, EN PRESENCIA DE YODO, QUE SE AGREGA EN FORMA SOLIDA O EN SOLUCION CON UN DISOLVENTE INERTE A LA REACCION, COMO ACETATO DE ETILO, ETER DIETILICO Y OTROS, EN UNAS RELACIONES MOLARES DE 6-APA: NANO 2:2 DE 1:2:1 A 1:2:3 APROXIMADAMENTE; RECUPERACION DEL PRODUCTO DE REACCION POR SEPARACION DE LA FASE ORGANICA SEGUIDA DE EVAPORACION DE LA MISMA; LAVADO DEL RESIDUO SOLIDO ANTERIOR CON UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE UN YODURO METALICO ALCALINO, TAL COMO YODURO SODICO O POTASICO, A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 0 Y 100º C, NORMALMENTE A TEMPERATURA AMBIENTE.
