COMPRENDE LA COMBINACION DEL MEDIO DE ENSAYO CON UNA SONDA POLINUCLEOTIDICA INMOVILIZADA O INMOVILIZABLE QUE CONTIENE AL MENOS UNA SECUENCIA DE BASES MONOCATENARIAS COMPLEMENTARIA DE LA SECUENCIA A DETERMINAR, EN CONDICIONES FAVORABLES A LA HIBRIDACION DE AMBAS SECUENCIAS; INMOVILIZACION DE LA SONDA SI SE PRESENTA EN FORMA INMOVILIZABLE; Y DETECCION DE LA SONDA HIBRIDADA. LA SECUENCIA DE LA SONDA ESTA CONSTITUIDA POR RNA CUANDO LA SECUENCIA A DETERMINAR ES RNA O DNA, O POR DNA O RNA CUANDO LA SECUENCIA A DETERMINAR ES RNA.
