Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation par culture et d'extraction de la multhiomycine, qui est un antibiotique, et des médicaments vétérinaires renfermant de la multhiomycine. On prépare la multhiomycine (présentant la courbe d'absorption dans l'infrarouge illustrée) en cultivant un champignon producteur de multhiomycine tel que Streptomyces SP - 8446-CC1 appartenant au genre Streptomyces dans un milieu de culture renfermant un acide carboxylique soufré et on traite le milieu de culture avec un solvant mixte constitué d'alcools et d'hydrocarbures halogénés ou de cétones pour obtenir la multhiomycine avec un rendement et une pureté élevés. La multhiomycine permet en particulier de stimuler la croissance des animaux, y compris les poissons, les mollusques et les crustacés.
