L'invention concerne un élément cathodique pour électrolyse. Cet élément est constitué d'une cathode dont une surface est revêtue d'un polymère comportant un groupe échangeur de cations. L'invention permet en particulier d'effectuer une électrolyse avec une tension de cellule réduite et une durée de vie importante de l'élément cathodique.
