Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement de matières résiduaires. Ce procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : on introduit 78 en continu la matiere résiduaire à traiter dans un four primaire 76, tout en ajoutant 80 de l'air dans le four, on chauffe la matière dans le four jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit à l'état carbonisé et on décharge ensuite la matière du four et on la fait passer à un dispositif 86 de traitement secondaire, tout en évacuant 82 du four le gaz résiduaire, on ajoute une quantité notable de chaleur dans le dispositif 86 tout en maintenant une alimentation limitée en oxygène dans ce dispositif pour récupérer ou éliminer 88 les métaux lourds présents dans la matière résiduaire traitée, on fait ensuite passer 90 le reste de la matière résiduaire du dispositif 86 dans un four secondaire 92 pour brûler la matière carbonée restante et on évacue les cendres 94 et le gaz résiduaire propre 96 du four 92. Une application est le traitement des déchets municipaux.
