Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé de production de méthanol. Ce procédé comprend une section de production de gaz de synthèse, une section de synthèse du méthanol et une section de distillation du méthanol. Il comporte un système autonome dans lequel de la vapeur à basse pression est obtenue par échange thermique avec un courant fluide à 120-300 degrés C du processus, la vapeur à basse pression est utilisée comme vapeur vive pour chauffer au moins la colonne de distillation de la section de distillation, et l'eau prélevée à la base d'une colonne de distillation de cette section est utilisée comme charge pour le système autonome de production de vapeur. Ce procédé permet ainsi de réaliser des économies énergétiques importantes.
