Abstract

L'invention concerne un protecteur pour pneumatique à carcasse radiale. Le protecteur 14 comprend des nappes en câblés d'acier 18, 22 dont les zones marginales rabattues vers l'intérieur, l'une par dessus et l'autre par dessous, flanquent une ou plus d'une couche 20 de câblés en une matière non susceptible de dilatation thermique, telle que du nylon. Un tel protecteur a une rigidité transversalement uniforme, ce qui améliore la qualité de roulement et régularise l'usure de la bande de roulement.
