Abstract

Pneumatique comportant un pli de carcasse en cordes métalliques, disposé dans la direction radiale et noyé dans un caoutchouc Le pli de carcasse a une configuration à profil naturel. Sa position dans la zone de l'épaule du pneumatique répond à la condition 0,3 <= t2 /t 1 <= 1,0, t2 étant l'épaisseur du pneumatique du côté intérieur du pli et t1 l'épaisseur du côté extérieur. Dans cette zone, l'épaisseur de la couche intérieure diminue progressivement vers le centre du sommet du pneumatique et vers la position de largeur maximale. L'invention s'applique particulièrement aux pneumatiques pour véhicules lourds.
