Abstract

Γυαλιά (8) που ενσωματώνουν ευρέος φάσματος πλακίδια καθυστέρησης ενός τετάρτου μήκους κύματος (1),όπου η γωνία ανάμεσα στον γρήγορο άξονα (2) των πλακιδίων (1) και το διάνυσμα ηλεκτρικού πεδίου (4)του γραμμικά πολωμένου προσπίπτοντος φωτός της οθόνης TFT-LCD είναι 45 μοίρες, μετατρέποντας έτσι την έξοδο σε κυκλικά πολωμένο φως (5) με ίδιο εύροςδόνησης σε όλα τα αζιμούθια, κάτι που αποτελεί ικανοποιητική προσέγγιση του μη πολωμένου φωτός. Το πλεονέκτημα της εφεύρεσης είναι η απλότητα της, μεελάχιστη απώλεια φωτεινότητας. Επιπλέον, είναι κατάλληλη για παραγωγή σε βιομηχανική κλίμακα.
