Claims (7)

1. Verfahren zur Einbringung einer fotochromen Substanz in ein transparentes Substrat aus einem organischen Material, insbesondere in ein Brillenglas, bei welchem das Substrat (10) und ein fotochromisches Material (12), welches wenigstens einen Bestandteil der verwendeten fotochromen Substanz bildet, in Kontakt gebracht werden und dem Material (12) Wärme zugeführt wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mit einem Thermotransfer gearbeitet wird, d.h. mit einer Temperatur, die ausreicht, um wenigstens eine teilweise Sublimation der fotochromen Substanz sicherzustellen.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß für die Aufbringung auf das zu behandelnde Substrat (10) das fotochrome Material (12) von einem Zwischenträger (11) getragen wird, einem Blatt, wie beispielsweise Filterpapier oder Kraftpapier.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Zuführung der Wärme mittels eines Heizwerkzeuges (13) durchgeführt wird, dessen Form im allgemeinen der Form des zu behandelnden Substrates (10) entspricht.
4. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß vor dem Kontakt mit dem fotochromen Material (12) das zu behandelnde Substrat (10) auf eine Temperatur unterhalb der Transfertemperatur erhitzt wird.
5. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als fotochrome Subetanz ein Spiropyran verwendet wird.
6. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als fotochrome Subetanz ein Metalldithlzonat verwendet wird.
7. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß nach dem Thermotransfer das behandelte Substrat (10) mittels eines Lösungsmittels gewaschen wird.
