Abstract

L'invenzione riguarda principi attivi ad azione antitumorale estratti dalle piante della specie Palma, del genere Phoenix, e preparati farmaceutici contenenti almeno una delle sostanze o composizioni presenti negli estratti. A confronto di tutti gli altri farmaci antitumorali finora conosciuti, questi principi attivi dimostrano una maggiore selettività sulle cellule neoplastiche ed un minore coinvolgimento delle cellule normali. L'invenzione comprende anche il procedimento di estrazione e di separazione dei componenti degli estratti e il loro uso per la preparazione di farmaci antineoplastici o di farmaci per la cura di altre patologie.
