Abstract

L'invenzione si riferisce a principi attivi ad azione antineoplastica estratti dalle piante della famiglia delle Pittosporacee e a preparati farmaceutici a base di almeno una delle sostanze o composizioni presenti negli estratti. Rispetto agli altri farmaci antitumorali conosciuti, questi chemioterapici antineoplastici esibiscono una maggiore selettività nei confronti delle cellule degenerate ed una minore interferenza con il metabolismo delle cellule sane. L'invenzione si estende anche al procedimento di estrazione e di separazione dei componenti degli estratti e al loro uso per la preparazione di farmaci antineoplastici o di farmaci per la cura di altre patologie.
