Abstract
In metodi per formare un rivestimento comprendente uno strato di ossido formato per pirolisi su un substrato di vetro caldo in movimento, si mette a contatto il substrato con materiale precursore del rivestimento in presenza di ossigeno. Per impedire l'interazione tra materiale precursore del rivestimento usato per applicare uno strato di rivestimento superiore, e/o per facilitare la modificazione delle proprietà ottiche o di altre proprietà del rivestimento nel suo insieme, si forma per pirolisi uno strato inferiore di ossido di detto rivestimento ("sottorivestimento") in uno strato di ossidazione incompleta mettendo a contatto il substrato, in una camera destinata alla formazione del sottorivestimento, con materiale precursore del sottorivestimento inferiore in presenza di ossigeno in quantità insufficiente per l'ossidazione completa del materiale del rivestimento inferiore, e su tale sottorivestimento si applica uno strato di rivestimento superiore mentre è ancora in stato di ossidazione incompleta e mentre il substrato è ancora caldo, in modo da mantenere il sottorivestimento in uno stato non completamente ossidato.
