Abstract

Viene illustrato un sistema per migliorare la separazione per via elettroforetica di macromolecole con l'aiuto di un calcolatore. Il sistema conserva una base di conoscenza ricavata da dati di calibrazione ottenuti separando macromolecole, in particolare DNA, di grandezza nota sotto una varietà di condizioni pianificate scelte per ottimizzare le separazioni. L'utilizzatore imposta le grandezze di DNA più piccole e più grandi che debbono essere risolte. Da questa informazione, sistema regola automaticamente il gradiente di tensione ottimale, Voltage Gradient, Angle, Initial Switch Time, Final Switch Time, Forward Voltage Gradient, e Reverse Voltage Gradient sotto forma di parametri, aumentando in tal modo la risoluzione della elettroforesi.
