Abstract

La presente invenzione ha per oggetto l'uso terapeutico della fosforil-L-serina-N-acil-sfingosina consistente in una miscela di composti della formula I o II, in cui n=6-16 e R rappresenta un radicale acilico di un acido alifatico superiore avente tra 16 e 24 atomi di carbonio, essendo la distribuzione dei valori di n e R uguale a quella di una sfingomielina naturale.L'invenzione comprende inoltre un nuovo procedimento per la preparazione di questi composti, nonché delle preparazioni farmaceutiche che li contengono come ingredienti attivi.
