Abstract

La presente invenzione concerne un procedimento per l'assorbimento di mercurio metallico da gas di scarico in grandi impianti per mezzo di una soluzione acquosa di lavaggio di un agente d'ossidazione, caratterizzato dal fatto che mercurio metallico con l'agente d'ossidazione forma nella soluzione di lavaggio un sistema Redox con un potenziale Redox da 700 mV a 1300 mV, preferibilmente 800 a 1200 mV.
