Alimentando in modo continuo acido maleamico ad un reattore mantenuto a temperatura compresa tra 150 e 300°C ed assicurando un tempo di permanenza da alcuni minuti ad alcune ore si ottiene acido poliaspartico con peso molecolare desiderato e con piccola dispersione dei peso molecolari.
