Description

DESCRIZIONE dell'invenzione industriale dal titolo: "Serbatoio di materia plastica per il carburante di un autoveicolo"
DESCRIZIONE
La presente invenzione riguarda i serbatoi di materia plastica per il carburante di autoveicoli.
I serbatoi per il carburante di autoveicoli vengono attualmente realizzati, secondo una prima tecnica, in modo monolitico, mediante estrusionesoffiaggio (blow-moulding). Tale soluzione presenta tuttavia problemi tecnologici per la realizzazione di elementi funzionali aggiuntivi, quali pareti antisciacquio, raccordi per il collegamento di tubazioni, ecc..
Tali problemi possono essere superati con la tecnica che prevede di realizzare i serbatoi in due semigusci di materia plastica stampata ad iniezione che vengono successivamente assemblati. Questa seconda tecnica consente, potenzialmente, una considerevole riduzione dei costi.
Nella figura 1 dei disegni allegati è mostrato, parzialmente e schematicamente, in vista sezionata, un serbatoio 1 per il carburante di un autoveicolo, comprendente due semigusci 2 e 3 di materia plastica stampata, congiunti fra loro in corrispondenza di rispettive flange o bordi 2a, 3a giustapposti.
I serbatoi secondo la tecnica anteriore illustrata nella figura 1 presentano l'inconveniente di una scarsa resistenza all'impatto nella zona di congiunzione dei due semigusci e ciò in vista dell'esposizione diretta all'impatto e dell'elevata rigidezza di forma del bordo perimetrale di congiunzione di tali semigusci.
La presente invenzione ha dunque lo scopo di realizzare un serbatoio per il carburante di un autoveicolo comprendente due semigusci di materia plastica stampata che presenti un'elevata resistenza ed affidabilità in caso di impatto.
Questo ed altri scopi vengono realizzati secondo l'invenzione con un serbatoio del tipo anzidetto, caratterizzato dal fatto che i suddetti semigusci sono sagomati in modo tale per cui i loro bordi o flange di congiunzione si estendono in una rientranza del serbatoio.
Grazie a tale caratteristica, la zona di congiunzione dei semigusci non risulta direttamente esposta a sollecitazione in caso di impatto.
Ulteriori caratteristiche e vantaggi dell'invenzione appariranno dalla descrizione dettagliata che segue, effettuata a puro titolo di esempio non limitativo, con riferimento ai disegni allegati, nei quali:
la figura 1, già descritta, è una vista parziale sezionata di un serbatoio realizzato secondo la tecnica anteriore; e
la figura 2 è una vista parziale sezionata di un serbatoio realizzato secondo la presente invenzione .
Con riferimento alla figura 2, un serbatoio 1 per il carburante di un autoveicolo secondo l 'invenzione comprende due semigusci 2 e 3 di materia plastica stampata, ad esempio ad iniezione, congiunti fra loro in corrispondenza di rispettivi bordi o flange 2a, 3a.
I semigusci 2 e 3 del serbatoio secondo la figura 2 sono peraltro sagomati in modo tale per cui i loro bordi o flange di congiunzione 2a, 3a si estendono in una rientranza 4 del serbatoio.
Preferibilmente, i bordi o flange di congiunzione 2a, 3a dei due semigusci 2 e 3 si estendono verso l'interno del serbatoio 1.
Tali bordi o flange possono essere saldati fra loro oppure essere congiunti fra loro mediante incollaggio, o ancora mediante riporto di materiale fuso.
Nel caso di unione mediante saldatura, questa può essere realizzata in uno dei vari modi noti (saldatura laser, saldatura ad ultrasuoni, saldatura a lama calda, ecc.).
Naturalmente, fermo restando il principio del trovato, le forme di attuazione ed i particolari di realizzazione potranno essere ampiamente variati rispetto a quanto è stato descritto ed illustrato a puro titolo di esempio non limitativo, senza per questo uscire dall'ambito dell'invenzione, così come definito nelle annesse rivendicazioni.

Claims (6)

  1. RIVENDICAZIONI 1. Serbatoio (1) per il carburante di un autoveicolo comprendente due semigusci (2, 3) di materia plastica stampata, congiunti fra loro in corrispondenza di rispettivi bordi o flange {2a, 3a); il serbatoio essendo caratterizzato dal fatto che detti semigusci {2, 3) sono sagomati in modo tale per cui i loro bordi o flange di congiunzione (2a, 3a) di estendono in una rientranza (4) del serbatoio (1).
  2. 2. Serbatoio secondo la rivendicazione 1, in cui detti bordi o flange di congiunzione (2a, 3a) sono saldati fra loro.
  3. 3. Serbatoio secondo la rivendicazione 1, in cui detti bordi o flange di congiunzione (2a, 3a) sono incollati fra loro.
  4. 4. Serbatoio secondo la rivendicazione 1, in cui detti bordi o flange di congiunzione (2a, 3a) sono uniti fra loro mediante riporto di materiale fuso.
  5. 5. Serbatoio secondo una qualsiasi delle rivendicazioni precedenti, in cui detti bordi o flange di congiunzione (2a, 3a) dei due semigusci (2, 3) si estendono verso l'interno del serbatoio (1).
  6. 6. Serbatoio per il carburante di un autoveicolo, sostanzialmente secondo quanto descritto ed illustrato, e per gli scopi specificati.
