Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.ロールの表面にビード溶接クラッディングを施し、かつ溶接クラッディング の熱処理により鋭敏化領域のほとんどないクラッドを生成することにより形成さ れたクラッディッドロール表面。 2.前記熱処理工程は前記溶接クラッディングの温度を約870℃と約1260 ℃との間に1から60秒間上昇させることと、その後に前記加熱されたクラッデ ィングを急冷することとを含む請求項1に記載のクラッディッドロール。 3.前記ロールは連続スラブキャスティングのためのキャストロールである請求 項1に記載のクラッディッドロール。 4.前記溶接クラッディングは、ステンレス鋼合金、ニッケル合金、コバルト合 金、鉄合金およびそれらの組み合わせからなるグループから選択される金属によ り形成されるビード溶接である請求項1に記載のクラッディッドロール。 5.前記溶接クラッディングは、部分毎に熱処理される請求項2に記載のクラッ ディッドロール。 6.前記クラッディッドロールは、誘導加熱によって加熱される請求項2に記載 のクラッディッドロール。 7.前記熱処理は前加熱工程、焼きなまし工程、焼き入れ工程および焼き戻し工 程を含む請求項1に記載のクラッディッドロール。 8.前記クラッディングは単一の滑らかな外表面へと機械加工される請求項1に 記載のクラッディッドロール。 9.前記クラッディングは前記ロールの外周にほぼ連続している請求項1に記載 のクラッディッドロール。 10.ローラの表面上に溶接クラッディングを形成し、前記クラッディング内の クロム欠損領域の数を低減させるために前記溶接クラッディングを熱処理するこ とを含むクラッディッドローラの形成方法。 11.前記溶接クラッディングは、ステンレス鋼合金、ニッケルを基材とした合 金、コバルトを基材とした合金、鉄を基材とした合金及びそれらの組み合わせか らなるグループから選択される金属から形成されたビーズ溶接である請求項10 に記載の方法。 12.前記クラッディングは約0.13cmから約1.30cmの厚さを有する 請求項10に記載の方法。 13.前記熱処理は溶液徐冷である請求項10に記載の方法。 14.前記熱処理は誘導加熱手段により実行される請求項12に記載の方法。 15.前記誘導加熱処理手段は誘導コイルである請求項14に記載の方法。 16.前記クラッディングは急冷され、前記溶液徐冷行程後、焼き戻される請求 項13に記載の方法。 17.前記ローラはキャスターローラである請求項10に記載の方法。 18.前記誘導コイルは前記クラッディングの区分を熱するために前記クラッデ ィングの表面を横切るように走査する請求項15に記載の方法。 19.前記熱処理は急冷操作を含み、前記急冷操作は、前記誘導コイルに隣接す る冷却頭部位置において実行される請求項15に記載の方法。 20.前記誘導コイル及び前記クーラントヘッドは前記クラッディングの表面に 沿って走査する請求項19に記載の方法。 21.前記熱処理は前記クラッディング部位の温度を約20℃から約1090℃ まで及び約1秒から約60秒にわたって上昇させることと、その直後に前記クラ ッディングの前記部位を急冷することを含む請求項10に記載の方法。 22.前記クラッディングはなめらかな表面に機械加工される請求項10に記載 の方法。
