Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.長さ、幅及び軸表面とを有する細長い芯と、更に細長い芯により規定され、 細長い芯の長さ方向において延伸する軸表面と、 細長い芯の軸表面の周りにおいて延伸するプラスチック製のジャケットと、プ ラスチック製のジャケットが基端ジャケット部と末端ジャケット部とを備えるこ とと、両ジャケット部がプラスチック製の材料で作られていることと、末端ジャ ケット部が基端ジャケット部に対して、末端ジャケット部の放射線不透過特性を 向上する手段を含むことと、 末端ジャケット部が1つの末端ジャケット部と1つの基端ジャケット部とを備 えることと、基端ジャケット部が末端ジャケット部とは異なる放射線不透過性を 有することとからなるガイドワイヤ。 2.末端ジャケット部の放射線不透過性が基端ジャケット部の放射線不透過性よ りも大きい請求項1に記載のガイドワイヤ。 3.末端ジャケット部は約1インチの長さを有する請求項2に記載のガイドワイ ヤ。 4.末端ジャケット部は基端ジャケット部よりも小さな断面積を有する請求項2 に記載のガイドワイヤ。 5.末端ジャケット部は約1インチの長さを有する請求項4に記載のガイドワイ ヤ。 6.末端ジャケット部は重量比で約80%放射線不透過性の材料が添加されてお り、基端ジャケット部は重量比で約65%放射線不透過性の材料が添加されてい る請求項2に記載のガイドワイヤ。 7.前記末端ジャケット部は基端ジャケット部に比べてより軟らかい材料を含む 請求項1に記載のガイドワイヤ。 8.前記末端ジャケット部は約1インチの長さを有する請求項7に記載のガイド ワイヤ。 9.前記末端ジャケット部は約80Aから約85Aまでの範囲のデュロメーター 値を有し、前記基端ジャケット部は約93Aのデュロメーター値を有する請求項 7に記載のガイドワイヤ。 10.前記芯はステンレススチールよりなる請求項1に記載のガイドワイヤ。 11.前記放射線不透過性材料はタングステンを含有する化合物である請求項1 に記載のガイドワイヤ。 12.前記基端ジャケット部に対して、前記末端ジャケット部の放射線不透過特 性を向上させる手段は放射線不透過性材料を、末端ジャケット部のプラスチック 内に組み入れることを含む請求項1に記載のガイドワイヤ。
